Here are some tips for speeding up your request for 35mm slides from electronic files. Create your slides in Power Point. Be sure if you are copying an existing file set for on-screen viewing or if you are creating a new one for 35mm slides select "35mm Slides" within "slides set for" in the page set-up window. Remember, when you change from some other settings to slides the formatting will change. Please look for type that now is too close to the edges, information on graphs changing or not changing relative to the graph, etc. Before bringing the file to ECC on
CD, zip disk, USB thumb drive or e-mailing it please review each for content accuracy. Please allow 5 work days to expose the film, process it and collate for any errors at our end. If for some reason not every image comes out add another 3 work days. THIS IS FOR NO MORE THAN 36 SLIDES AT A TIME. Orders for more than one standard roll of film (36 slides) will have a deadline mutually agreed upon by the client and Graphic Services. We can make duplicate slides at the time we are reproducing the original.

Please note: PHOTOS AND LOGOS FROM WEB SITES WILL NOT PRINT WELL. THEY ARE DESIGNED JUST FOR VIEWING. Be sure your photos are large files (typically 17"x 22" from a digital camera) or are high resolution for printing, i.e. 300 dots-per inch.

Graphic services is located in the basement of the Student Wing/Lecture Hall building, room B24, on the same level as the ground level of Academic A & B Buildings.

Please give the multimedia artist, Danielle Rogers, a call at 777-3322 or e-mail her at dsrogers@binghamton.edu. We need your extension number, date needed, and an account to charge the service to, such as a POETS string, Research Foundation number, etc. The ECC Office (777-4750) takes care of the request to transfer funds from your account to ECC. We need a signature for all research grant numbers. Checks can be made out to Binghamton University. We need to discuss each project and establish a review date as well as a due date with you. Turn around time varies with each individual order.
